The other option when it comes to Internet gaming is playing “Flash” games. Flash is simply a computer graphics program which allows you to play games on a website without downloading any software. (However, you may have to allow an ActiveX control to run on your web browser.)
Flash games are not as graphically pleasing as downloaded games; they are smaller programs and meant to be played online. However, if you do not want to install software on your computer, you do not own a PC but a MAC, or you want to play immediately and not be bothered with a large download, then Flash games can be a perfect alternative.
The disadvantages of Flash games are that they are not as realistic and the game play is generally slower because you are always waiting on the website to refresh.
